Dear Bishop, Thank you for your gentle and gracious words. I have been waiting for them. I was not disappointed. I am very pleased and thankful that the ELCA has made a stand on this issue now. We who believe in the centrality of scripture, and preach and teach about God's compassion especially towards the last, least, lost, little and dead, need to be leading the way in proclaiming God's love for all people, especially those who find themselves defined as last, least, lost, little or dead, by our culture and by our world. Thank you Bishop!
